About ITV plc
ITV Plc (LON:ITV) is an integrated producer broadcaster and is the largest commercial television network in the UK operating a family of channels. In addition, the company delivers content across multiple platforms either directly or via ITV Player and itv.com.
ITV Plc has two segments: Broadcast and Online and ITV Studios. The ITV broadcast network consists of ITV, the largest commercial channel in the UK, and several digital channels. The ITV channels attract the largest audience of any UK broadcaster other than the BBC. ITV Studios is the largest production company in the UK which produces programming for the company's own channels and for other UK broadcasters. ITV Studios' International production business has five bases: US, Australia, Germany, France and the Nordic countries.
The company's headquarters are in the London Television Centre. ITV Plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 index.
ITV Plc was formed following a merger between Granada Plc and Carlton Communications in February 2004 when it also started trading on the LSE. Since then ITV has expanded its family of channels by launching ITV2 in 1998, ITV3 in 2004, ITV4 in 2005 and CITV in 2006. In January 2013, ITV Plc launched company-wide rebrand.
